The coworking industry is rapidly evolving and new glossaries are coming into use every day. Not many people exactly understand the technical terms when they start their journey in a coworking space.

This is the idea behind this article- get together all the coworking jargons no matter you are joining an Innov8 coworking or any other branded coworking space.

Accelerator- An accelerator works as a program that is responsible for accelerating the growth of externally developed ideas and work for 3 to 4 months. Mostly, they provide capital expenditure, networking opportunities, coaching, workspace and administrative support.

Community

In the shared workspaces, a community is the relationship between staff members, workplace and members have maintained with each other. A community should be caring, motivating and collaborative with each other.

Community Manager

A community manager plays a crucial role in the working of a coworking space. They help in facilitating interactions between the members and organize events for them to socialize as much as possible. All in all, their main role is to keep everyone comfortable at all points in time. They are highly responsible for making everyone’s professional journey an unforgettable one.

Coworkers

Coworkers are the people with whom you share your workstations. At a coworking space, there would be multiple companies working together. You might not have an idea that your neighbour might be a creative artist or entrepreneur. Here, you would find individuals from a host of backgrounds and fields.

Dedicated Desk

A dedicated desk is a personal desk in a coworking setup. Such desks will usually cost higher than shared workspaces. These spaces allow members to set up at the same spot every day and promises to offer an open seat available always.

Virtual offices offer live receptionist services, meeting rooms and office spaces. Here, individuals can hold discussions with their clients in a virtual manner. Moreover, they offer services like cloud storage, mail handling, instant messaging, VoIP numbers and more.

Workstation

A workstation is a place where you sit and work with your laptop. They are usually fully furnished and offer plans for a day, month, week or even a year.
